DAY 2: Canyoning near Lake Bohinj & Sava River Kayaking

For the early risers among us, we can wake up before dawn and hike up a small hill called Ojstrica to see the sunrise reflected in Lake Bled. We will have time for breakfast and some downtime before heading to Lake Bohinj. Go on an exhilarating canyoning adventure in a nearby canyon, abseiling, tobogganing, and jumping down the cool stream.

After lunch, we’ll head out kayaking on Lake Bohinj and then down the Sava Bohinjka River. In the afternoon, we will take it easy around Lake Bohinj, but if you are more active and adventurous, there is a trail around the lake as well as bike hire to explore the area further.

Start the day by driving up a winding mountain road leading over the Vršič Pass and taking in the amazing scenery of the Julian Alps. We will continue our drive to the valley of the emerald Soča River, where we will enjoy some light hiking before reaching Bovec — the adrenaline capital of Slovenia — where you’ll spend a couple of days.

After lunch, you’ll get back in harnesses and head to the zipline in the mountains above the town, where a series of steel cables will send you flying across the valley for a thrilling adventure with spectacular views. To end the day, we will hike around Bovec and visit the Virje Waterfall.

The rest of the day will be spent above ground, in pristine Slovenian forests, searching for an encounter with the brown bear in its natural habitat. You’ll do this from a safe lookout, with an expert guide. But you’re sure to find it thrilling nonetheless!

In Slovenia, there’s no limit to the amount of adventure you can have outdoors.

Hiking, canyoning, exploring caves, and rafting down rivers are just a few of the activities that await those who dare to venture into the diverse regions of this country on the sunny side of the Alps.

On this 8-day Slovenia adventure tour, you’ll experience unforgettable doses of nature, culture, and sports — the main three ingredients of an active holiday.

The holiday will take you from the capital of Ljubljana to the epic landscapes of the Julian Alps. Staying in Bled and the adventure capital Bovec, you will explore many wonders of the Triglav National Park in different ways — rafting, hiking, and canyoning in its pristine nature.

But the mountains are not the only place where an adventure in Slovenia can happen. In the vast southern forest, we will be on the lookout for the brown bear. But a hidden world waits underneath. We will delve deep into a Karst cave and a mine and explore their underground mysteries.

Adventures can also be experienced in urban environments. You’ll explore Ljubljana off the beaten path and be able to proudly say you’ve experienced Slovenia to the fullest.

Come and experience a Slovenia adventure like no other — and enjoy the unique adrenaline-pumping activities and natural beauties that await you
