The Pokljuka Plateau just above Lake Bled offers a gateway to the Triglav National Park. Its pine forests make for some beautiful scenery, and the area is a great starting point for winter hikes up higher peaks of the Julian Alps as well as easier trails around the plateau. Your guide will adjust the hike to the weather conditions and your capabilities, whether you are an expert hiker or a novice. You might be able to even hike to an iconic Triglav viewpoint.

If you’re up for it, get a head start on your day by hiking up a hill in the early morning to catch a view of the sun rising above Lake Bled. After breakfast, pack your skis and head out for a bit of cross-country skiing. Whether you’re an experienced skier or just beginning, there’s something out here for everyone!

Your guide will take you up to the trails near Vogel Ski Resort via a cable car ride. There, you will explore the snowy trails with a magnificent bird’s eye view of Lake Bohinj and a panoramic vista of the Julian Alps.

You will go sledging down a snowy slope, cross-country skiing on a mountain plateau, snowshoeing through the peaceful trails, hiking up a winter peak in the Julian Alps, or even dog-sledging in a hidden Alpine valley.

The best time to visit Slovenia depends on the type of tour you are interested in. For summer tours, we recommend May-September, as these months offer the best weather for our activities. However, please be aware that bad weather can sometimes cause cancellations or changes to the itinerary. In the case of winter tours, December can be unpredictable, but January-February is the best time for optimal snow conditions.
No, accommodation is included in all of our tours except for the Slovenia Family Activity Holiday. Even in that case, we can assist you with finding a place to stay.

Yes, we welcome solo travelers on our adventure holidays. However, please be aware that there is a surcharge for single use of a room. Additionally, our small group holidays only depart with a minimum of 4 people. If you are a solo traveler and are interested in one of our small group holidays, we recommend that you contact us to inquire about available dates and discuss any potential surcharges.
Yes, we provide all of the necessary equipment for the activities on our adventure holidays. This includes things like helmets, harnesses, and other safety gear, as well as any specialized equipment that may be required for a particular activity. However, we do need to get your measurements before you arrive to provide the proper fitting gear. We promise we aren’t being nosy, it’s just for your safety and comfort!
We recommend that you bring a swimsuit and towels for any water activities, as well as comfortable shoes that you can move easily in for hiking and cycling. You should also bring comfortable clothes that are appropriate for the activities you will be participating in.
Our adventure holidays only include breakfast, but we make sure to provide plenty of time and options for lunch and dinner. We will provide information about local dining options and will make recommendations based on your preferences and dietary restrictions.
